What is a tramp stamp and why is it called this?

    Because a lot of people got tattoos right along the waistline of their pants, basically drawing attention to the fact that their shirt or pants are cut to be revealing. Generally a tattoo with no real meaning, like a bunch of swirls or something. described as "something to look at when you're nailing her from behind."


    I think you can get a lower-back tattoo and *not* have it be a tramp stamp, though I'm biased because I have my own lower-back tattoo. :) I figure I didn't get it on impulse, it does mean something to me, and it's high up enough that most of my shirts don't show it. A lot of people don't know I have it unless I tell them.
