Whatever you do, DON'T pull them off. The acrylic adheres to the top layer of your natural nail, and, when it comes off (unless it loosens on it's own), it rips the top layers of your natural nail off, leaving your nails weak.
They do last for a long time. I've had mine on for about 3 weeks, and they are growing out. I buffed the ridges down on mine, because I don't want to get them again. I only got them in the first place because I had a nail split down about half way, and would not grow out, it kept splitting. This protects the nail until the split grows out. (not recommended, as the chemicals hurt like h*ll!)
