How do I tell Ubuntu to use 127.0.0.1 as the DNS server when using DHCP; resolv.conf keeps getting overwritten?

    • Why? A DNS query at one location I frequent takes 1-2 SECONDS but if I run bind locally it will cache such queries and then they only take a few ms.
