I have an older Philips tv. It turns on, but shuts itself off within a few seconds. The remote is not the problem. Any idea what could be wrong?

  I have a 60inch philips that is about 4 years old. The problem is occationaly, when I am watching it, the screen goes black and I loose sound for about 30-60 seconds. When it comes on the mute icon appears for about 5 sec then every things fine any help
