Help answer this question below.
I haven't used 2007 but in previous versions you would do the following
1) Select your data (include all fields you wish to sort)
2) Click the Data menu on the menu bar
3) Click Sort
4) You will be given the option to choose your sort field and direction as well as header row options.
Don't know if it is different in 2007 though.

You're reading Microsoft Excel 2007 question: How do I associate the first entry in a row with the rest of the row so that it will sort according to the first entry and keep the data in the rest of the row with it?
Comments
Nope, that doesn't seem to be doing what I want...It just puts the client's name in all of the cells in the row....hmmmmmm.

Tina, is that you?
by Godless Heathen on April 9th, 2009
No it's not Tina I am afraid.
That's odd it always used to work like that. If all the data is selected Excel should sort all the data based upon the sort field you select keeping the row-relationships intact. Certainly does on 2003 as I just tried it.
Don't know I am afraid. Even if you click the sort button on the toolbar it should give you the option to expand the selection or just sort one column.
