Me and my boyfriend are both 19.We're thinking about having a baby. My parents like him but have told me that if he ever got me pregnant that they would make me get an abortion and make it so I wouldnt ever be able to see him again. Can they do that?

• They can't make you get an abortion, they don't have that right. I'm guessing you live with them so they will try to demand it but they don't have the ability to MAKE you do it. I would encourage that you become financially stable, be able to afford to raise the baby together, (can't preach marriage to you because I have a daughter out of wedlock), they might be worried that they will have to help too much in raising and paying for your baby.

• I work full time and am 27 and it is still unbelievibly more expensive than most people think, even with daddy with me. Just make sure you do what would be best for the child, they are wonderful but make sure you don't make it hard by trying to have a child and "wing it" like so many young people are doing. I don't know your situation exactly or possible religious factors either, just trying to give basic advice.

• In the US even younger than 18, your parents can't force you to get an abortion. I think adoption is the best choice, but this is your life and you make the decisions.
