What are the new bankruptcy laws? If I am in a lot of debt, can I still declare bankruptcy? How much will it cost me?

    Yes, you can still declare bankruptcy. The new laws (that became law in October, 2005) make it more difficult to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy, but it is still possible. Full information on Chapter 7 bankruptcy and Chapter 13 bankruptcy (which is now more common under the new laws) can be found on the Bankruptcy-America.com site at www.bankruptcy-america.com
