When you argue with your partner, have they ever called you stupid? how did you handle it?

    Yes, when he and I are having heated arguments or if I say something that he becomes offensive to...he often pulls out the "stupid card".

    I handle it by knowing that sometimes when people argue they say things that they don't mean. I'm not innocent to that either...

    However, whenever he does it I still get really upset, but I try not to show it to keep the argument from escalating.
