  • In that situation - who knows what one can do? Firstly the word kill - can't ever think of killing - but if i had to, then the motive of saving a thousand lives would be good enough. Or would it? the thousand - who are they? Reworded - would i kill one decent person to save a thousand horribly evil ones...well then... or maybe its just an anonymous decision - to rescue a thousand innocents on one side would i let go of one innocent on the other? Maybe...but what right do i have to decide who deserves to live and who deserves to die?

    • You bring up an interesting point - not to disagree but I find that it would be hard to decide if nice people deserved to live more than "horribly evil ones", or if the numbers were what mattered. I sure wouldn't want to be in that situation

    • Exactly - do we deserve to decide who deserves to live? The word deserve itself is suspect.
