If Noah took two of every animal onto the arc, what did the (carniverous) animals eat?

    First of all we need to look back in Genesis 1:29-30 where it says...."And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so."

    Here we see that not only was mankind vegetarian but so were all of the animals up to the time of the flood. So the animals, including the present carnivores, were vegetarians. After the flood things changed quite a bit. God allowed man and animals to consume meat, thus were born the carnivores.

    Genesis 9:1-4 "And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. 2 The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. 4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood."

    In light of the above Scriptures, there were "no" carnivores on the ark. The animals that we now know as carnivores ate what Noah and his family ate, seeds, fruits, vegetables, nut's, bread, and milk. It wasn't until after the flood that they became meat eaters.
