I'm not a homophobe, but there are certain activities/sports that guys participate in that having a "gay" involved would make it uncomfortable. Even playing basketball or football, the casual slap on the behind is made uncomfortable...

come on, what could be more straight than sticking your hand in another mans crotch and forcefully grunting "HIKE!!!" and slamming your sweaty body into the sweaty body of another big strong man.
being on the side with the girls cheering, picking them up, putting your hand on their inner thigh as you hold them in their short skirts above your head... now that is really gay.
