What are good ways for a beginner to learn about boats?

    I. Always stay inside the boat. Wear a life jacket incase you fall out.

    II. If sailing, keep an engine on board incase theres no wind.

    III. Keep up with keeping barnicles off the bottom; they cause drag, which in turn, slows you down (and possibly wastes gasoline too).

    IV. Always keep a good supply of gasoline on board if you get lost.

    V. Study books to get details for beginner sailers.

    There might be more, but those are still very important.
