In Holland, have a look at Amsterdam, I imagine you will be travelling by train on the continent and that way you'll be able to see the rest of Holland. To be honest, there's not a lot but pretty villages and windmills.
Hope I haven't offended any Dutch out there, this is only my personal opinion...

Oh and in need of accommodation, have a look at hospitalityclub.org if your lucky you might find some free accommodation, I have been a member almost since the start and used it a few times!

    • Exactly, I don't want to offend any dutchmen, I used to live in Holland (not in Amsterdam), it's a really pretty country, but for touristic purposes, there's really not a lot to see outside Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, don't spend too much time in one place, there is so much to see! Walk around a lot, have a look at the streets, the markets, the gardens and of course a coffee shop and the red light district! Have fun!
