I'm getting my tragus pierced today, but am a little worried because I'm going skiing this weekend and I'm concerned that the rubbing of the tuque will cause irritation. Would a band-aid prevent or minimize this?

I'd wait until you get back from your skiing trip, otherwise the irritation will be too much and you may damage the piercing. Its not a good idea to put a bandaid on a new piercing either.
