If you do not have any felony on your record including DUI's you may enter Canada from the USA for a period of up to six months. As long as you are not requested to leave Canada for some legal reason you may reenter Canada at any time. It is best to have a passport and it will be required for you to reenter the USA beginning in June 2009. Before that you need two peices of identification one requireing a photo such as your drivers license.

Bring NO firearms of any kind with you or large knives. If you have a radar speed detector in your car take it out and leave it home; if you are caught with one in Canada it will be confinscated on the spot and you will not get it back. Of course do not have any drugs in your possesion or in the car.

Above all be polite to everyone! Please do not act like the typical ugly American it will get you no where. I cannot emphisize this enough....BE POLITE! You are a guest in their country!
