    Thank you for your question.

    No I understand that it no longer exists.

    It used to be a big traditional fair lasting for 45 days started in 1253. People came from all over England and even the continent. The traditional song best known these days for its Simon and Garfunkel version was written about it in the 16th century and the parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme was added then. Unfortunately, it ended in 1788.

    However, there is a smaller fair in Scarborough, North Yorkshire in July each year.
