What are the factors that limit the height of skyscrapers?

    I saw this answer for another question. One of the limiting factors for the height of a skyscrapper is elevator space. As the height of the building increases, you need more and more space for elevators. You end up having very little floor space for offices. There are tricks like double decking the elevators but it comes down to people don't want to wait to go up and down.
