Help answer this question below.

Which is more effective and easier-to-handle: one question with 300 answers or three almost identical questions with 100 answers each?

    I think the 3 questions would be tougher. If the questions were almost identical, it might be graded or looked at more harshly than if there was just one set of questions, since a person could answer a shade differently on any one question. With one set of questions, at least there would be only one answer.

    • Braveheart, very good point, and thank you. When I specified 300 answers or 3 sets of 100 answers each, meaning answers from 300 different people, I totally forgot that the idealism inherent in theoretical scenarios rarely shows up in real world human behavior. Does that make sense?

    • Yes it does make sense. If I were asked a set of *similar* questions with multiple choice answers even 3-4 times, I am sure my replies on many questions would vary abit. It's similar to surveys and questionnaires where you agree, strongly agree, neutral, etc. Some replies are so close, depending on my mood or first thought, I might say something differently on many questions.
