1, Quality of good questions has gone down to where they are very frustrated. Nobody likes to have to have to search for a good question to reply to, at least I do not.
    2. They feel it has become too much of a social club and not as much a place where people can find good information.
3, They are spending alot of time here and not finding time for other real life things.
    4. They are disliking the new changes, such as the Google and new underlined "pop up" kind (not true pop ups, but as annoying if you ask me) of ads in the questions and answers.
    5. They have a serious disliking for trolls. :)
    6. They see things they would rather do with their life and time that could be of as much or more benefit and help to themselves and others.
    7. It can affect health such as eyes and other things, from long hours of looking at the screen and sitting in the same position. That's hard on anyone, even if they are not on AB. Also, if they are really addicted to it, it can cause them to lose sleep or not get enough sleep, which is not healthy.

That is a partial list I have that somewhat fits my reasons for cutting back by 50-75% of what time I used to spend on AB. Your mileage may vary of course.

    • Agree strongly on #1 and #2, and there seems (to this newcomer) to be a kind of pettiness that may be find for OpinionBag, but not for an info resource.
