Question

Help answer this question below.

Can people say Obama is black? Is he black? With a white mother and a black father shouldn't he be both and niether at the same time, or does that black half make him black? If so that is one of the most racist concepts I have ever heard of.

Mr Obama has used his blackness to run for president and win. I think it is terrible that he never mentions his white mother or her side of the family but if he did he may not have been elected president. Actually he is what we refer to as zebra.

    • What the zebra or Obama. It is what it is. You could refer to him as a mulatto or a half breed .

    • What I am saying is there has to be a more clinical term out there. If not we need to make one up.

    • Fact from fiction, truth from diction, what presidentual race were you watching? I followed him from the start and he mentioned his white mother and grandmother many times and hardly played up his "blackness". It this revisionist hustory goingon again?

    • One of his last speeches before he was elected. He did not use his color to get elected. Many of those who were for him or against him did that's for sure.

    • I don't remember him talking about his mother or his father (who are both dead), just his grand parents on his mother's side... it was fairly big news when he went home to visit his grandmother during the campaign.
