    You need to define yellow----

The classic symptoms of dehydration are dark yellow-orange urine. On the other hand yellow urine can be influenced by the foods you're eating, liquids your drinking, any drugs you take, and especially vitamins. Niacin especially will turn your urine a yellowish color from bright yellow to neon yellow, depending on the vitamain company you buy from.

It can also be associated with the production of bilirubin and urobilin, which are created as part of the catabolic breakdown of blood. This could be caused, by liver disease, but could also be caused by surgery if you've had any recently where there was some blood loss---any blood loss---severe infection, hepatitis, or drug use. In fact if you've been taking alot of drugs that rely on the liver to metabolize them, then that may be the cause of your disorder...Tylenol especially can cause changes in the liver enzymes that might cause a mild rise in these compositions and make your urine yellow. Taking dieuretics when you don't need to take them will cause dehydration and make your urine darker. (Ironically if you suffer from edema, the dieuretic will cause your urine to become lighter as they force your lymphatic system to release more fluids from your cells)

Diet also plays a role in the color of your urine. High levels of salt will cause fluid retention and therefore less fluid is available for waste removal. Your urine gets darker.
