You're reading My partner has been busted buying nude magazines and looking up porn on the internet just recently - then I found a huge stash of magazines, one from every month for the last I don't know how long... This really hurts, am I being prudish?

No that wouldn't upset me but you and I both know it's not the same thing. I asked him if he would be ok with me doing the same and his answer was no. So what's good for the goose is good for the gander I say.

I say so too. He has no right to dicate to you what you see. He seems to be a little inconsistent with his sense of the relationship. Whatever works for the two of you is no one elses business or problem. I would still submit to you, that his choice of literature, which would not be mine, is his right.
If you feel that his interest reflect an unhealthy attitude, you might consider that before making the partnership more longterm.
