According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the number of bachelor's degrees awarded grew by 14 percent, from 1,095,000 to 1,244,000 between 1990–91 and 2000–01. Bachelor degrees increase approximately 6-7% in 5 year periods and with that estimation it is assumed that approximately 1,253,540 bachelor degrees will be awarded for the 2005-2006 school year. I could not find statistics more recent than 2001 however so I ESTIMATED this current school year using a percentage of 6% over a 5-year period from the 2000-01 figures.
