Help answer this question below.

Were there other people not related to adam and eve? who were the people cain bore the mark for them to see, were gentiles just other people on earth and not decendants of adam and eve?

    JAMMco... its complicated...

    Cain eventually married his sister, as would his brother. Since they were much closer to perfection at that time, and life expectancy was well into the 900 years, there would be generations of relatives eventually from his siblings who would be around to see his mark.

    We are much farther from perfection now and inbreeding has much more drastic consequences than it did at the beginning of human history.

    People talk about repopulating the planet if they were the last man and woman on Earth, but seldom do they stop to think that their kids would have to procreate with each other to perpetuate the species... When you start with 2, it's the only way left to go. This is why people married people from other Tribes (or famlilies) even though they were related (the bigger the tribe, the more distance the relationship) to keep the gene pool diverse.

    • best reasoning JAMMco...there are lots of things not detailed out for us...it wasn't necessary to the PURPOSE....we just have to understand we don't know all ,nobody does....we will one day if its HIS WILL:)
      and obviously Seth (Jesus lineage) had a sister too...Noah was of Seth....and all others "sons" of seth were destroyed at the DELUGE ...so it was Shem ,Ham and Japeth...(Jesus lineage here was of Shem):)

    • C'mon; Adam & Eve is a simplistic explanation of how all of us as human kind struggle w/ independence & consequence. The story is fantastic, thus remembered.
