What is the legal age for babysitting?

    The legal age is 11, to watch siblings. It is 13 for other children only as late as 12am. You must be 16 to watch children overnight or past midnight.

    • Well, if you think about it. Minors are 16 year-old drivers that are responsible for everyones life that passes or is in their car on the highways, or they are the person that works at the dealership that changes your oil and fixes your tires, etc, etc. A 16 year old minor can be tried as an adult in court if the charges are warranted. So yes, I think they could watch a child... needless to say there are way too many of the 16 year olds that are parents themselves at that age.
