Why do I have to pay more to see my credit score when accessing my free credit report?

    While credit reports are required by law to be given to comsumers free of charge under certain conditions, the credit score is not. As the credit reporting agencies are businesses, they choose to charge for this information. The credit score is used as a way to statistically determine one's credit worthiness.
