God does not have the QUALITY of existence: he IS existence and cannot NOT exist. Perhaps Atheists are right in saying God does "not-exist"?

You're reading Do atheists need tangible proof there is a God?

That is right

On the contrary, atheists lack belief in a diety precisely because of no tangible evidence - a proof is what's required.

You'll get proof eventually

Nope - that's the religious position. Blind faith in a proposition for which there is no evidence.
.
Show me any evidence and I'll consider it. Show me proof and I'll have to accept it.
.
But like most atheists, I don't believe in god for the same reason I don't believe in the fairy godmother or Santa - there is zero evidence to support such a belief.

I agree, 23, almost ANY proof could and probably would be worthy of consideration, but if that proof is something as vague as a child's smile or a rainbow or the case of warm fuzzies that someone gets by getting down on their knees and praying don't exactly qualify as tangible, verifiable proof. However, if your god were to make a personal appearance and perform a few actual miracles it would go a long way toward convincing the non-believer.

Proof is proof and must be accepted Of course "proof" is a very high bar. There is no proof that Newton's Laws of Gravitation are true. Lots and lots of evidence - but no proof.
Objective evidence is much easier. But there is none of that supporting god either.
