    Theodor (“Ted”) Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was not an official doctor, but his prescription for fun has delighted readers for more than 60 years and got him his nickname "Dr. Seuss".

    • Books written by Theo Lesieg are also dr. Suess.

      Occasionally he usd that name. Theo is short for Theodor. Lesieg is Geisal spelled backwards.
