Some women experience pain while breastfeeding.
Some babies are biters or chewers.
Some babies need supplements beyond breastmilk.
Some women can not produce enough breastmilk to feed.
Some women either want to or need to return to work in a profession where it is inconvenient to walk around with drippy nipples.
Some babies just don't want to breastfeed.
Some women live lives where the convenience of formula is a necessary evil to accomodate their schedules.

The wonderful thing is the freedom to do what you need to do to make things work for both you and your baby, whatever that may be.
