Back pains during a woman's menstrel cycle are quite normal. However, severe pains should be investigated by a good GYN. If all is normal in that department you could try a good chiropractor. Many women have experienced relief from painful cramps, or a reduction in their severity, by having their spine alligned properly. All the nerves are connected to the spine. If the spine is out of place even a little, it may cause undo discomfort that can be improved. Other treatments include a heating pad, hot baths, and, yoga. But, first and foremost, have your GYN give you a check-up to eliminate other possible causes. Good luck, and remember, it all goes away when you reach my age. :))
