Question

Help answer this question below.

Is a "democracy" really the best thing for a free republic like America? In a land where 51% of the people control the other 49% does that really seem "free"? If I'm not being violent, committing embezzlement, or disturbing the peace, why are there laws?

First 51% of people don't control the other 49%, a democratic government must rule for all. Second, laws exist because we are human and and differing interests which without laws would conflict and start war, laws are like a peace treaty.

    • Thats exactly the problem, a democracy doesnt work for everyone. Lets take gay marriage for example (in california atleast) , it came down to 51% against it, 49% for it. Now the 49% has no say in the matter. How is that "the land of the free". Like I said above, if I'm not hurting someone, or stealing, why is there a need for any other law?

    • I agree in that i think there are too many laws and while i don't always agree with all the decisions make by the poulus, i guess we can always work towards a fairer future for everyone. A Liberal democracy is not perfect but it is the best model we have.

    • That's why we have courts to overturn such unfair and biased laws.

    • But when our courts are bought out by the corpetacracy and NWO, thats when go to the state level, which is whats happening now.
