When does gingerbread taste good to you? Do you like to eat it right away or do you like to wait? Maybe you don't like to eat it at all...

I love fried okra. A favorite dish would be fried okra w/ green fried tomatoes placed on top of a "big red fresh from the garden" tomato - it's the greatest.

Abbyguy - What'cha talkin' about ? lol
by Patti jo on March 26th, 2007
YES! Pattijo, I clicked on this question SPECIFICALLY to answer "Okra" and I was so glad to see it already here and at number 2!!! I have hated okra since childhood. My whole family loves it. Now that I live in the south, I am faced with okra at every turn! Grocery stores, restaurants...it's everywhere! It is slimy and has the little seeds and the flavor is not at all redeeming. Well, to make a long comment short, I am glad to see there is already established a merry band of okra haters :o) +

by This Daley has a new bundle of joy on April 15th, 2007

by Patti jo on April 15th, 2007
Alright - the three of us then (I would hate for Abbyguy to be subjected to okra...)

okra is ok its the other pinoy dishes that are freaky :-)
by researcher for God on May 8th, 2007
Do you mean "Filipino" by "pinoy"? I never knew okra to be a Filipino dish. It is very "southern" in the U.S. and elsewhere is a regular on "soul food" menus (of course, those are based on southern foods).
by This Daley has a new bundle of joy on May 8th, 2007
Pinoy is slang for male Filipino... Ive been learning the lingo from my Filipina wife... :-)
by researcher for God on May 8th, 2007
Yuck, and it's so gooey that's what I don't like.
