Question

Help answer this question below.

How can I tactfully approach someone that does something that annoys me? He's an Asian student and the first thing he does when he arrives in the morning is to hawk a lugee in the sink near where I work. I've noticed most Asian men do this.

    An Educated Optimist

How many Asian men do you know who do this? I know no Asian men who do this. And I know several Asian men.

Sorry, I got distracted there for a moment. If this is a work environment, you should speak to your supervisor. If for whatever reason that's not possible, the best way to do something like that is to approach him in a friendly way and blame yourself: "Excuse me, would you mind doing that in the men's room from now on? I'm sorry, but I have a weak stomach."
