Question

Help answer this question below.

What do people REALLY mean when they say "I need closure"? I see so many people hounding exes who don't want to talk to them or see them because they "want closure". What do they REALLY want?

    Yarnlady is happy every day

Anytime a relationship ends, there can be many unresolved issues. The person who wants closure believes that the unresolved issued can be resolved by discussing them.

This is usually not true, because there is no way to satisfactorily resolve issues without a meeting of the minds, which they will never have.

In some cases it could be that they are hoping to renew the relationship, but not always.

    • Yes, I think you are right. If the issues could be resolved, they probably wouldn't have broken up to begin with. Perhaps it's a hope to "fix" things and get them back to where they were.
