In the middle of playing, I hear a hissing sound then the sound starts to skip, the game freezes, and I have to reset the system. What could be wrong?

  I'll put in a xbox game and it will take forever to load and then when it does decide to it says it is a dvd and sometimes it stops in the middle of the gameplay and says the disk is dirty or damaged. If anyone has any suggestions please reply quickly!
