Tonight I got 13 negative ratings in less than an hour with similar attacks last night. Most are -3 to -5 with an occasional -1 in there. Obviously I am not welcomed by either multiple people or by one person with multiple accounts who switch quite fast. In any case, I am in no state of mind to deal with it. If anyone wants to stay in touch, my email is annoying_novie@hotmail.com At least there I can block if someone is rude.
I will finish here tonight, and may very rarely visit on occasion. But I just can't deal with this. If I want people to be rude, I'll go to a site where that's the standard. At least I'll know what to expect. Here it should not be the case. I thought this would be more refreshing, and it wasn't so much. It's not the same AB. I made a few new friends and saw a few old, but I can't put up with the nonsense.

You're reading I've been heavily targeted by trolls the last few days. I am going to go back on leave as this is not fun like I thought it would be. Someone let me know if they fix that k? I'll explain more in an answer.

You're right. I care because I dislike feeling like I've done something wrong. If I feel like all I've done is try to be helpful and I get a page full of negative ratings, it's not cool and I'm not wanted by those individuals. I'd rather be on a place where at the very least you can block those who are the rude ones.

Well, I'll give you a couple of guesses. I can think of about three higher level members who have ratings that put them in the troll class. I wouldn't argue if you classed them the same as the newby troll.

A few things I'd like to say here:

Trolls can't really hurt you...only try to irritate you. Their activity is one reason why their points don't count against your total points. And unless your score goes negative, or someone just happens to notice your score has gone down from the last time they looked at it, the only person who will see it is you. (Unless we catch it on your activity page)

As long as your answers are as polite and well posted as they usually are, then anyone with more than two functional brain cells will know what's going on and won't lend any credibility to troll work.
.
And lastly, simply report the occurances (with screen shots, if possible) to AB staff and let them worry about it.
.
I know trolls are irritating. It's the only real thing they know how to do. But their activities don't influence the way I or any other responsible AB member, think about YOU. And WE are the ones who count, not the trolls. So bugger 'em!

The truth of the matter is that unless the person who did it leaves a comment saying so, then NONE of us here can know for sure who is trolling whom.

A person's statistics may be an indicator that they MIGHT be a troll, but even so it can't be proven that THEY were the ones trolling you. ONLY STAFF can know for sure, because they have all the computer records to see. We don't.
.
So don't make any assumptions (at least, not publicly) about who is doing the trolling.

Chief, if you go to page two of this thread, there is someone there who admits to trolling her. Unless its been taken down by now. She was posting really foul stuff last night, so most likely all her stuff has been removed, but it was there when I made the comment or I wouldn't have made it.

@ Anonymous: Perhaps AB needs a better reporting format. But they have the feedback link available for every answer AND you can email them or a CL. Things might indeed be improved, but we DO have tools at our hands now that work.

@ Blessed: I haven't checked, but I'll look. If so, then it falls under what I said above that this is the ONLY way we can know for sure who has DR'd anybody.

There were a ton more from the last two days that obviously weren't even on this question. And almost half of the DRs today were on my other things that they had to hunt out and find anyway. I have a laptop so it might be different. I press fn and insert (since underneath it's print screen). A normal computer you might actually have a print screen button.
