    • Table tennis players never call the fast, skilful game they play 'ping pong', the name of which implies it doesn't need much skill and is slow. However, looking at the 'Related Articles' on the right of this page it seems that the term 'table tennis' is unknown in the United States.
       
      It seems I might have found yet another example of the difference between English and American use of language.
