Question

Help answer this question below.

A family member of mine has been very sick for the past 10 years due to malpractice. Recently, he reopened the case and several days after contacting the hospital, his doctor of 7 years began refusing to treat him. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

A bit of extra info: By 'Refusing care' I mean that his doctor wants to take him off of all his pain medications (Oxycontin, hydrocodone, etc.) at once and without rehab; to simply refuse to prescribe medication, including his blood pressure and cholesterol meds. He's 5'8" and only 110 lbs. Will withdrawal not kill him, and is it not illegal for a doctor to knowingly endanger a patient's life?
