How can I prevent my baby from getting ear infections?

    Another very important preventative, not yet mentioned here, is breastfeeding. Not only does the milk contain antibodies to help fight infections of all sorts, but the way a child nurses at a breast helps keep the tubes in their ears clear and developing properly.

    A child who sleeps while sucking on a bottle should at least have their head raised slightly, on your lap or a pillow, to help gravity clear the tubes.

    • Breastfeeding does not prevent ear infections. This is a myth.

    • Breastfeeding has a HUGE factor in preventing ear infection.It isnt a myth,just unknown to the ignorant.
