Question

Help answer this question below.

Why should a person have friends? I can't really remember ever having any friends, and, other than alleviating the occasional bout of self-pitying loneliness, I'm not quite sure what the point would be. What do other people get out of friendships?

I can only speak for myself. I find friends very beneficial, but of course, not required.

I will tell things to friends that I won't tell family, and my friends don't lecture me like family.

Someone for conversation, help when I might need it, advice, go places with... that's what they are for me.
