Help answer this question below.
I have been playing guitar over 40 years and I am writing a beginner guitar website.
Don't buy a beginner guitar based only on what other people say is the best.
Do buy the best guitar you can afford, quality guitars sound better and are easier to play.
There are thousands of different guitars out there and to know which one to buy is a personal decision based on your own musical interests, type of music you want to play, quality of sound you want, ease of playability, and last but not least how much you are willing to spend.
Before you spend your money it's wise to arm yourself with knowledge, and I have a whole chapter on my website at http://www.introductiontoguitar.com/buy-a-beginner-guitar.html
It's packed with information that can help you make a decision you will be happy with.
Check it out it's completely free.
I wish you success
