Is it possible to install Windows XP in a laptop which has got preloaded Windows Vista after formatting?

I believe that if you go to a computer programmer they can uninstall vista and install XP

and good choice i like xp alot better than vista

- what do u mean by file system and that would probably be a question to just as them i recommend geek squad at best buy

We just (as in, yesterday) bought a new computer that comes pre-loaded with Windows Vista. The un-husband is adamant that we find a way to switch this to Windows XP. Is this possible? And if so, is it wise? Will be using this for art/Photoshop projects.
