I suggest leaving FireFox open at all times in the background. You'll use a little more resources, but you won't have to wait for it to open every time. If your mother board can handle it extra RAM and maybe an upgraded video card could take care of a lot of your problem with little expense.

I found an installer(offline) for Google Chrome browser. Why doesn't Chrome just
have one as part of the application? The app worked fine.

one of these days when i can get out from under the burdens that are weighing down my budget i am going to create the monster of all computers.
extra large case with the biggest, baddest mother of all mother boards.
at least 4GB of ram
three, 1 Tera byte hard drives with a fourth, high speed 40GB hard drive for (C:) operating system and ms office only
Pentium 4 dual core processor or better if availible by that time.
2 of the best blue ray capable DVD Burners
8 USB 2.0 ports
firewire port
the biggest, most powerful video and audio cards i can find
etc, etc, etc,
i would like to create the ultimate PC that skynet wishes it could have been. i want to turn this bad boy on and make the whole block brown out like a prison movie when they run the electric chair.
