Just like a cold beer can sweats on the outside in warmer weather. The inside of your googles sweat because the outside water is colder. Spit works just fine because it decreases the surface tension on the inside of your goggles so they dont fog but rather form water droplets that slide to the bottom of the goggles. Sometimes you have to take your goggles off and dump out the condensation. Just a warning here. Practice the technique of dumping out the condensation in shallow water and putting your goggles back on. If you're in deep water and your goggles fog up or water seeps in because your mask isn't on tight it can cause you to panic because you're trying to stay afloat and performing this task. I've been mighty scared on a more than one occcassion trying to do both things at once..
    On a lighter note.
The same thing would happen to a cold beer can if you licked the outside, but that's not my idea of a good time. Plus spit is free. Might be marketable though. Ebay?
