I have a 2003 V6 Ford Ranger. At 90 MPH the truck looses power and starts to hesitate. What might cause this?

    It sounds like the speed-governor is kicking in. Given that year, make and model, I would almost bet money on it. They are generally set to activate anywhere from 80-95mph. The effect, which you've perfectly described, is similar to running out of gas-- until your speed comes back down.You may be able to install a "super-chip" or a "diablo chip" for Fords in order to electronically bypass it, but in my opinion, it's not worth the effort unless you always comfortably drive at that speed.
