Could a total global economic collapse in itself cause catastrophic human dieback, and if so to what extent?

    the trucks have to keep running to keep the grocery stores working. and the big markets at the wharfs and the local vegetable and fruit markets. if they shut down...it would be big trouble. the emergency rooms are already maxed out. if there was no electricity then that would be bad news.
