Katir tries out for both basketball and baseball team . the probabilty she makes the basketball team is 85% ans the probabilty she makes both is 40%. whats the probabilty she wont make either team?

    p(basket)=.85
    p(both)= p(basket)*p(base)=.4
    p(base)= .4/.85
    p(wont make either)=1-(p(base)+p(basket)-p(both)
    =1-(.47+.85-.4)
    =.08
    So there is an 8% chance she wont make any team
