Depends how long the power has been off and what has defrosted. I had a row with my son and the bugger turned my freezer off as payback. I got a Chrisco order in November, so there was a fair bit of stuff in there. Some of it defrosted faster than the rest, so my husband and I lived out of the freezer for over a week, eating a strange assortment of meal combinations rather than throw it out. We don't appear to have suffered any ill effects from this exercise.
