You can prevent things from "flying" forward by strapping them down or using an object that is heavy or large enough that it couldn't gain sufficient momentum.

Prevention is a lot easier than stopping the objects out right. Objects that are not strapped down or prevented for continuing their course, will remain at the speed they were traveling and as a consequence will continue to move forward.

    • A heavy object will have more momentum, and be more dangerous.  Very dangerous advice regarding that.
