Help answer this question below.

Have a spayed dog about 8 years old she stopped eating and has a vaginal discharge that is pink and mucus. No vet till tom any thing I can do to help her. Or what might be wrong.

    The discharge sounds like an open Pyometria, but if the dog is spayed that shouldn't be possible. Do you know if she was fully spayed or if she just had her ovaries removed (which is not standard, but can be done). Does the D/C have an odor? It's deffinately something that the vet will need to check into.

    In the meantime try to get her to eat a little something, maybe some boiled chicken. Also make sure she drinks if nothing else she needs to drink. Other than that just keep her comfortable and watch her very closely.
